Pool dates April 2009

There are no pool sessions Easter Sunday, (12th) and Sunday 19th April.

Last pool session 2009: Sunday 26th, canoe polo followed by a beer at The West Kirk

 In the big pool – Canoe Polo. This is an interesting sport that is excellent for practicing your turning and support strokes, and perhaps a roll! Don’t worry if you have never played before, it’s pretty simple to get the hang of. Basically the idea is to score goals at either end of the pool, with a ball that can only be passed by hand and paddle.

Full details will be given on the night, but we will be using ONLY the white “pool” boats (5 a side) for this, so don’t bring up any boats from the store! You will, however need a helmet and buoyancy aid to play. 

After the pool session, we aim to retire to the relative comfort of the West Kirk in Ayr for a refreshing half. Hope you can make it!
