Try something new - 2008/09/18 13:40 Want to try a boat with a comfy seat, something you can stretch your legs in? Something you and a friend could paddle at the same time? Why use a paddle with two blades when one will do?

Sound interesting or just plain confusing? I'm talking about trying to paddle an open (canadian) canoe. The club has two of them and I can arrange to get hold of a few more. The suggestion is that we arrange a day of flat water paddling on perhaps an inland loch.

Not only would this imorove your technique but develop your understanding of paddlesport as a whole and if you're considering doing a 2 star course at any point would be realy useful as you now have to paddle BOTH kayak and canoe.

I am looking for your thoughts on this as an idea before making any definate arrangements. What do you think: Great idea I'd love to give it a go through to YYYAAAWWWNNN! what a boring day that would be post your thoughts and we'll take it from there.

Re:Try something new - 2008/09/26 12:11 I'd be up for a cruisy day out. And bigger boats mean more space for food and drink!
