River Introduction Course End & Feedback - 2010/05/24 19:47 Hey all,
A day of moving around the river and River Safety stuff brought the River introduction course to it's end Yesterday.
The BBQ at Jez's house was a fantastic way to finish it all off.
Over the last 7 weeks there has been an amazing transformation in the Pupils into pretty stable paddlers.
Now obviously thats the river introduction course over It's very important to keep these skills in the forefront of your mind when your planning a trip.
Remember it's Safety first, Fun second.
Don't worry The club is not just going to wash our hands of you now that we've put as much effort into your progress.

This site is a great asset to the club.
If you'd like to be getting out in the coming weeks post your thoughts up on here on the club trips section and try to muster up some others to join you.
I'll be getting out every weekend anyways so I'll keep an eye on whats going on and probably join you on the river.
If your one of the people on the 7 weeks intro and have any feedback in regards to the course and thoughts for improvement for future courses or any other general ramblings feel free to post on here.

Re:River Introduction Course end - 2010/05/28 17:01 Now that the training sessions are at an end we would like to thank George and all the other leaders that assisted in the coaching and river trips.

We now have the confidence to try paddling with others of a similar standard and look forward to many more river trips once the rain raises the level of the rivers.

The river safety session on The Nith was good and provided very useful info and practise time while being very enjoyable.

See you all soon.
Cheers

Re:River Introduction Course End & Feedback - 2010/05/29 09:03 Hi george
Huge thanks to all the trainers who ran the training intro to rivers course special mention to Maurice and Allan as they concentrated on the slightly less adventurous, like myself. I found the river running great fun and hope to get out again soon. The BBQ at Jez's was a good way to finish off and meet others without a kayak on their shoulder.
Thanks to all.

Re:River Introduction Course End & Feedback - 2010/06/04 16:35 Hi

Thoroughly enjoyed the River Course - especially the Awsome Awe Fantastic to have the video link too. Aiming to keep practising and hoping to go back later in the year. Thanks everyone who made everything possible.

When we get enough rain - would love to run the River Doon for as far as possible.
