Sunday the 16 th of May. - 2010/05/12 21:03 Hi All,
After having had a fantastic day on the Awe last week
we are going to wait and see what kind of rain we get in the next few days. With that in mind I'll post on here on Friday night as and what or where we could go. Options so far are,

Surfing at Pease Bay.

The River Awe.

The Doon. (This is only likely if we get alot of water between now and then)

The Tay, The section from the SCA get in above Grandtully down to Grandtully itself. Then we could run grandtully a few times and have fun.

The Clyde option that was previously discussed looks to be off the option list just now as it's on it's bones just now so too low to run.

Anyhows these are just options just now and water depending we'll get out and have a blast on Sunday again.

One other thing to consider is that these river intro sessions are coming to an end next week so we are going to have a BBQ.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions about venue or the like post on here ASAP.

Re:Sunday the 16 th of May. - 2010/05/13 17:16 George,

I'm up for wherever there is a decent flow.

I'd like to propose that we, while fresh on our minds, do the 3* assessment as soon as we can for those that feel ready - that way we have all achieved what we set out to do.

I would also like to suggest that a good follow on from this would be the white water safety and rescue course which i'm sure would prove popular and beneficial.

Regards

Re:Sunday the 16 th of May. - 2010/05/15 11:51 George,

Shall we see what the rainfall is like tonight and decide tomorrow morning? Rain is forecast, making a Doon trip possible.

Failing that the Awe is a good fallback. Swell is in the wrong direction for Surfing at Pease Bay, but Macrahanish is going to be big. If only it was a bit easier to get to. Worth a weekend trip when the swell is right? http://magicseaweed.com/Machrihanish-Surf-Report/85/
