Halloween masked paddle - 2009/10/12 17:22
This one is becoming an unoffical anual event and this years masked paddle of the Nith will be kicking off at 10 am on Sundday 1st Nov from the usual picnic site.
For those of you that this is new for use your imagination: fancy dress paddling. Mask essential.
Usual warnings apply. make sure you can see properly through your mask, consider widening the eye sockets or be origional and make your own.
Can i go?
This is open to anyone but the Nith is a grade 3 river and with rain for a few days before the event it will get very boily and can throw you some surprises! Paddling half blindfolded in November's oh so warm weather is perhaps not the best time to see if you are up for your first trip on this type of thing. (ie no beginners) That said there will be plenty of experienced paddlers there to help pick up any pieces and a it's a giggle if nothing else.
