Wind farm protest - 2006/11/30 15:22
Hi there,
In brief, Craigengillans' ambitious outdoor recreation development plans, including an outdoor centre, development of the Ness Glen, mountain bike trails and walks are under threat due to a wind farm proposal for surrounding hills. Development of the wind farm will jepodise these developments as it greatly reduces the outdoor recreation tourism potential of the area.
It seems there has been a slight change of plan to the wind farm proposal which currently threatens Craigengillan. Scottish Power have now changed their application to Dersalloch Hill. Different hill, same threat.
