Wind Farm proposal - Ness Glen - 2006/10/16 09:13
Hi there,
There is a planning application going in for a significant Wind Farm on the hills around the Craigengillan Estate at Dalmelligton.
This is of course the venue of the great paddling at the Ness Glen. Craigengillan strongly oppose the planned development, as it would have a significant effect in deterring outdoor recreation visitors to the area, just when they are trying to develop a walking network, and encourage mountain biking and kayaking use of the area. They also have planning concent for an outdoor curling center and an activities and environmental centre neither of which are likely to go ahead if the wind farm is approved.
